About Know Your Home Inspections and Services LLC
Know Your Home Inspections and Services LLC was started by Walt Fick in 2015. Walt has a
unique background and skill set that helps customers
understand the condition of the property and maximize
investment. Walt grew up on a ranch in the Nebraska
Sandhills learning many valuable skills such as understanding
mechanical and electrical systems. The ranch was fairly
isolated and the majority of repairs and maintenance were
completed by the family. Ranch life also taught many
lessons on hard work and integrity. Walt earned his
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the
University of Nebraska in Lincoln. He then worked the
next 18+ years in product and process design, development,
improvement, and management. Walt's love of homes goes
way back and includes many do-it-yourself improvement projects
and designing numerous floor plans for enjoyment. He and his
wife were heavily involved in designing and building their
custom home utilizing many passive solar and green features.
Walt has the training to understand the building methods
and complex systems in homes and explain their condition in
understandable terms. It is his pleasure to help owners,
sellers, and buyers understand the condition of the home and
be more at ease with home ownership and real estate
transactions.
